I have been asked about common errors in steps/turns before. This is a very common one foot turn section in ice dance: RFO-Rocker (RFO to RBO) CW/RBO to RBI Change of Edge CW/RBI-Counter (RBI to RFI) CCW/RFI-Bracket (RFI to RBO) CW/RBO to RBI Change of Edge CW/RBI-Double Twizzle CW

There are 2 clear errors that would invalidate both the RBI-Counter (RBI to RFI) CCW & the RFI-Bracket (RFI to RBO) CW:

1) Charlie hops the RBI-Counter

2) Both Meryl & Charlie have very flat right forward inside edges (the exit of the RBI-Counter & the entry of the RFI-Bracket)

I’m highlighting those errors because I think they are pretty clear in any skating discipline. By ice dance standards there are also:

Meryl and Charlie right back outside edge exit of RFO-Rocker. This would be fine for singles or pairs, but this is ice dance so 🤮

Meryl and Charlie right back inside edge entry of RBI-Double. Both are flat, especially Meryl 🤮🤮🤮 I don’t think singles/pairs tech panels care much about the entry edge of twizzles though and just that doesn’t turn into checked three turn or pirouette, but this is ice dance so 🤮🤮🤮
